  • Individualized child development plan

  • Developmentally appropriate learning support

  • Occasional summer field trips

Supporting Enrolled Home-based Families

Play Groups (aka Socialization)

Enrolled families are encouraged to come to play groups and parent meetings.

We discuss ways to cope with the stresses of raising young children, discipline techniques, toilet training, feeding concerns and other parenting issues.

We invite professional speakers to share information about nutrition, healthcare, early literacy and various other parenting topics.

Home Visiting Program Expectations

The Early Head Start Home Visitor will:

  • Visit your home weekly. Both the Home Visitor and the Parent will agree on the date and time of the visit

  • Help you learn more about child development and parenting

  • Provide recreational and social events for you and your child

  • Bring resources to you and your child

  • Help you and your family set and meet goals.

  • Help you work with any necessary community agencies to create healthy environments for you and your family.
