The center is open to Native and non-Native people, with programs available to serve all.

We promote the socio-economic development of the Native American community and others who experience the same type of economic difficulties in the Greater Pittsburgh metropolitan area.

Native American Employment and Training Program

Training, job placement, and counseling for Native Americans, Alaskan Natives, or Native Hawaiians 18 years and older.

Our Early Childhood Programs

  • Early Head Start

    We provide comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income pregnant women, as well as to families with children up to three years old.

  • Head Start & Pre-K

    COTRAIC is a lead agency provider of Head Start and PreK Counts. We offer tuition-free preschool education for children from age three until the entry age for kindergarten.

Greater Hazelwood Family Center

We work to support the needs of families in the Hazelwood community and surrounding neighborhoods. Our certified staff will focus on the development of your child and help connect you with needed resources.

The Singing Winds Food Pantry provides services to low income families and individuals living in Allegheny County who are experiencing food insecurity.

Native American Community

  • Land Acknowledgement

    Recognizing the unique and enduring relationship that exists between Indigenous Peoples and their traditional territories.

  • Speakers Bureau

    This group of native speakers, versed in many areas of their own history and culture, are available to share their wisdom with you and your group.

  • Pow Wow

    Come and enjoy a glimpse of Native American heritage, including dancing, food, and arts and crafts, at our annual family-friendly event.
